The Burnt Orange Heresy (2019)
#1
An art critic hooks up with a beautiful blonde. He's asked to come to a lakeside chateau in Italy by a renown art collector and learns that he is housing an eccentric elusive artist who had all of his works destroyed by fire. The collector charges the critic with the task of securing a painting. It's a lot of art theory, discussion and rumination.

The critic and blonde were unknown to me but the blonde reminded DM of a padawan he almost took on from the reggae scene (she wound up eluding DM in a porn shop and now leads self-love chats on the web). The art collector was Mick Jagger and he was really good in the role - straight up acting and done with panache. The artist was Donald Sutherland and he's always good.

An enjoyable film. Nice character development and its ultimate comment on the art world was intriguing.

No sword fights. DOOM artist recommended.
