The Battle Wizard (1977)
#1
A Shaw Bros flick based on Louis Cha's Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils that stars no one of note. But oh man, what a gem. It made me long for the days when we'd all get together with some tasty libations, toss on some crazy video and MST3K the crap out of it.

This film has Yi Yang Finger (laser like qi bolts that shoot out of the pointed finger like a pistol), a demon with a green forehead and a lobster claw, a villain with telescopic iron bird legs that elevate him like stilts who breathes fire, a woman that always has real live snakes up her sleeves, a Kung Fu gorilla, a huge rubber red python fed on ginseng and deer antlers so drinking its blood gives you superpowers, a poison toad in a box, lots of qi blasts in a rainbow of colors and textures, a ninja heroine who fights with scarves who gets stripped nekkid and molested, a pit with a skull octagon floor, and more, much more, I know I'm missing something.

So many cheesy effects. Mmmmm luv that cheese. My comfort food.

Lots of sword fights and a wide assortment of cold arms. Totally DOOM recommended. It's only a little over an hour.
