The lead, Nicolas Hoult, needs to play a young Cumberbach in some future project. Lily Collins could trim her eyebrows. Anthony Boyle needs to play a young Matthew Broderick. And Derek Jacobi looks unsettlingly like Maestro Gaugler.
Not a bad biopic overall. I respect that it didn't get too Hobbity. The trench warfare made me want to see 1917 again. The beginning reminded me of HP in tone and soundtrack, but there was no HP factor (there was Star Trek factor - Chief O'Brian). There was a sword fight too - a full on fencing scene no less, but in the background. Not necessarily DOOM recommended unless you like period UK flicks or are a big Tolkien fan.
