Harry Potter meets King of Hearts via Edgar Allen Poe.
This is based on a Poe short story that I cannot remember. I once read all of Poe's major works - I remember a few of them but not this one. It's what happens when the looneys take over the asylum and it stars the ever elegant Kate Beckinsale, the mighty Ben Kingsley and Michael Caine, and HP-2 (Mad-Eye & Lupin). It was okay, predictable, maybe because lurking in my subconscious is the remnants of that Poe tale. Jim Sturgess was the lead, and he looked a lot like Michael Palin in some MP sketch with I found terribly distracting and kept waiting for Cleese to say 'spot the looney'.
No sword fights. Not DOOM recommended.
