Outsider Ep3S1 continues to be weird, although now we are getting closer to what is going. I was going to give Director Bateman a lot of credit for the look and tone of the show, but this episode had a different director and it still had strange weird tone to it.
I am expecting the worst, for this to fall apart. King has great beginnings and middles to his stories but the end usually blows. But I will continue to enjoy it until that happens.

The New Pope on HBO
This is the second season of the show and I never watched the first. I tried this show because it has John Malkovich who I'm really liking in his later career choices.
I assume in the first season Jude Law becomes the new young sexy pope. But by th need of the series, he has a heart attack and goes into a coma.
When the second season picks up they need a new pope to take over while the pope is in the coma.
But this show is weird. It starts showing a bunch of novices heading to bed, all chaste and pristine in their white outfits, but once the midge mother superior locks the door the cigarettes and make up comes out. It ends with a music video of the young women all in a crush at the base of huge illuminated cross.
The first episode revolves around the Vatican secretary of state Volpino manipulating his way into being selected to be the new New Pope. But he is thwarted by his doppelgänger The votes in a stale mate. They come up with a third option etc etc. It's all very weird and I can't believe the Catholic Church has any love for the show. There's lots of talk of pedophile priests.
The big shocker in the first episode though, is no John Malkovich except one backlit shadow in the final shot.
We'll see. It's a weird show. Very talky. Lots of weird languid dolly shots just for the sake of long languid dolly shots. But it caught my attention so I think I will watch some more episode.

More on The Outsider
It's starting to drag. I'm up to Ep8. Once we know the foe on the show, a lot of the mystery and dread are gone. It's just a chase show from that point on. Plus, they've kind of given up the really unique style of the show, that the first two directors really captured. Episode seven was really disappointing since they seemed to spend most of the show just driving around and talking, talking about things we already know.
I'm ready for this show to be over.

Agents of Shield Season 7
I think we watched one episode of Season 6, which is a problem because season 7 picks up, I'm guessing, right where season 6 ended. Coulson is back from the dead, although he was back from the dead in season 6 as well. Fitz is missing again. Simmons is looking for Fitz. Again.
I tuned in to see how they resolve it. I thought SHIELD had some really good season in the beginning but kind of went of the rails in season 5 where the earth was destroyed and they were traveling back and forth in time. And there was lots of Kree stuff going on. It probably would have meant more to me if I followed the comics closer.

I just watched the premiere because my GoT was crashing. I do like Ruby Rose, and I do like lesbians, but I really want to see a female heroine that has no love interest at all. That would work so much better, be so much more liberating. It was too obvious for me - the bat cave entrance, the relationship to the villainess, the traitor crow. I did like the villainess, but not enough to stay tuned in. Didn't notice Rachel's VO. I prefer the animated Batwoman.
I'm guessing no one is still watching. Not I.

Nope. Not even a little. I think we go through about 4 episodes of Season 1
