This was a festival show with Day Wave (substituting for Catman and the Bottlefish), K. Flay, Phonogram, The Head and the Heart, Bastille and Green Day.
I was really only interested in Green Day as I've never seen them live.
The opening bands played, I drank my gin and tonic and got tired waiting for the main event.
When Green Day took the stage it was electric.
They opened with "American Idiot" and riled the crowd into moshing madness. They followed with a string of hits, a tribute to Ghost Ship and walked away after one encore.
Good times!
