Love and Friendship

I know, I know - an obscure Jane Austen, but it's Kate Beckinsale who reaps havoc on proper society as a manipulative widow trying to marry well.  As always, great locations, sets & costumes. It almost feels like a satire of a parody of Austen. Mrs dm is still skeptical that it's geniune Austen. It had this odd meter - loquacious precise Aisten dialog scene then chamber music segue, wash, rinse, repeat. But it was wryly funny and may stand as the lone Austen flick that dm liked better than mrs dm. No swordfights.
