Inside Out (2015)

Yeah, Pixar isn't as good as it used to be. Many people touted this as one of the best Pixar films. I won't be one of them.

It was fine. I think it skewed younger than usual. I never really got into the idea of the different feelings inside the people's heads. Every scene seemed the same with those characters. Yes, they were supposed to be personifications of single attributes but it got old after awhile. Usually, Pixar tells much better stories.

There were a few scenes towards the end that were very funny and one of the outtakes about the main girls first date was very funny. The film needed more of what was in the outtakes in the main film.

tQ and I disagreed on the short before the movie about the volcano. I liked it (weird, I know) and the Queen did not.

I'm giving this film a resounding meh.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

The wife wanted to pay per view this. I was so/so. I have to say I was not that impressed. It looked good (of course) but the story seemed a bit weak. The Incredibles had more to say about real life and was more entertaining. So was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

I am not sure why so many people were raving about this.

This wasn't one of my favorites either. Didn't even cry during the dinosaur scene, and I cry at all the sad animated movie scenes (not so much for live action). I thought the voice acting was fantastic, especially Sadness. The art was very good and I liked the concept of 'core memories', but the plot and writing just weren't compelling.

I also thought there should have been a lot more 'emotion' characters. Sort of like the bar in 'Star Wars'.

Anyway, not great, not terrible.
