I always thought Brosnan was the weirdest Bond. He started by playing a caricature of Bond in Remington Steele. Then he was Bond. Now he's not Bond but still playing Bond-like agents. Old Bond, but still in the shadow of Sean's Never Say Never Again - the epitome of old Bond tales (I like Daniel Craig but no one - NO ONE - can say 'SPECTRE' like Connery). And then there's Olga Kurylenko, who made it as a Bond gal. So in this weird Brosnan/Bond derivation, well, it's not bad. Not great. Not meh. Just not bad. The mcguffin is totally predictable. Stuff explodes. There's shooting - a fair amount of shooting - the kind where only the hero can aim and the villains might as well be wearing stormtrooper armor. No Willis, but he'd make a crappy Bond. Could've used a sword fight. Olga makes a really good revenge attempt that would have totally worked if she just shanked the dude and didn't waste time jawing about it. I like Brosnan better as an old Bond.
