This is one whacked-out movie, conceptually brilliant, but never quite delivering.
Amadeus comes from a distinguished musical family, but he never received the gift. Tone-deaf and music-hating, he becomes a cop. And wouldn't you just know it, a group of guerilla percussionists suddenly begin to terrorize the city. He must track them down and put a stop to their anarchist ways.
The best parts of this movie come early (some truly absurdist scenes). The last half loses steam and fails to deliver a punch (the last of the four performances put on by the percussionists, though large-scale, is a bit of a letdown). If you’re a drummer, this could be a bit of fun. Otherwise, you may have trouble maintaining your interest.

I'm nobody's pony.
