Wreck it Ralph

This movie skewed towards a younger sensibility. It wasn't the usual case of Disney throwing some jokes in to keep the adults happy. I did like the conceit of being in the world of video games, but it seems like we have been here before. Very reminiscent of the world of Toy Story, especially when the world came to life once the normals weren't around. Now that I write that, that is exactly. it is Toy Story but with video games.

I guess the game to play if you are and adult is how many video game characters you recognize from your own childhood. We did find the Easter Egg that helps explain the cameos. Not that it was that hard. If you pause the DVD for a bathroom break, Chris Hardwick pops in to talk about the movie. He mentioned which characters actually used the real voice talent from the original video games, how to find the hidden mickeys and the death screen that was supposed to come after the credit roll. We didn't last through the credit roll.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

I sort of watched this on the plane flying from San Jose to Chicago. I didn't have audio. It was visually arresting enough to hold my attention when my mind fogged on Gravity's Rainbow and I needed a break.
I'm nobody's pony.
