Netflix streaming is pissing me off
#1
We were going to cancel it, but it's so damn cheap. It has the worst search engine ever. There's a ton of good stuff on there, but sifting through it is so challenging. But my biggest bother is that many of the foreign films aren't subtitled versions. You probably haven't noticed this as much as I have, as mostly I surf Asian & Bollywood cinema. I watch plenty of pirated Asian flicks without subs, but my netflix versions should have them, dammit!

Don't you search online and then add them to your instant queue?
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

The subtitle issue was the last straw for me. Do I retain some small drivel of Netflix in the form of streaming, or dump it entirely? Then I heard, and witnessed, that streamed movies don't have subtitles. It was a WTF moment. Foreign movies are the bread and butter of the peanut butter sandwich I have for lunch. So I dropped it, and switched to peanut butter and pickle sandwiches.
I'm nobody's pony.

Subtititles did it for me too. I love watching anime but prefer the Japanese actors. You can almost understand what they are saying from the tone and inflection. American dubs are flat and boring.

A bunch of old Bond flicks were available just prior to Skyfall. Classic Connerys - Thunderball, From Russia w/love, even Never say never again. They're gone now. I was halfway through Russia and Never. Mad

Netflix streaming has been great for me. I've been enjoying re-watching episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Of course, I've also got Maeve and Dani sleeping on either side of me while I watch, so even if anything got screwed up, it'd be really hard to get annoyed. There's something very, very soothing about 140+ pounds of snoring, drooling furballs on your lap that makes it very difficult to get annoyed about anything.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
