The premise is an underground tournament held in another dimension where you fight lesbian hotties in block bodices. Maggie Q is the lead and fights in black garters and hip-high stockings The villain is played by Darth Maul, the wushu champ who became a sith lord. And William Yun Lee is in it, who was a close friend of Tiger Claw until he got in a Bond film and was named one of Time's top 100 something or anothers. I never met him but everyone who did said he was cool. Very cheesey - one of those films that reaffirm my luv of cheesey B kung fu flicks. There is a magic sword - sort of a qi lightsaber - and the lesbians fight with tonfa and brass knuckles. No nudity. No Bollywood dance number. Almost DOOM worthy because there are so many places to Mystery Science comment that I'm sure we'd all have each other in stitches less than half an hour into the flick.

After this and Red Dawn, I seem to have fallen in the alien village of Wil Yun Lee. Adding to this is that we are using his image to promote our tournament next year, so I've been staring at postcard drafts with him on it. Everyone else in the office has met him. He was connected to Tiger Claw prior to stardom, but he dropped by to get some gear for Witchblade back at the turn of the millennium, and I missed his visit. Everyone says he's really humble and nice. Of course, that was before becoming a Bond villain and People naming him one of the 15 sexiest men alive.
