A Japanese spin on Stephen Chow that has absolutely no redeeming value. I kept thinking it was going to take a novel turn that would propel it into that eye-gluing land of Japanese cinema ala Miike, and there were so many ample opportunities (the grandma becomes a exotic dancer after she loses a fight and gets kicked out of Shaolin) but it never does. A complete waste of time. Even a sword fight couldn't save this.
