When I make my first big film, there will certainly be a hovercraft in it. Was this film a hit or a miss in the scope of Jackie's career? I liked it much better the second time through (Starz free preview has been working for me while tQ has been out of town)

"Bronx"?
I thought the hovercraft one was set in Sydney?

Must learn to proofread before hitting submit.
Nope. Hovercraft was in the Bronx.

It broke HK box office records and is considered one of Jackie's breakthrough films when he was trying to break into Hollywood.
And it was filmed in Vancouver....where there are hovercrafts.
I haven't seen it in years. I imagine it feels dated now.

I think when I first saw it, I wanted there to be more fight scenes or something. It didn't seem to have much traction here in the US. But on second viewing, it had some great stunts. I especially liked the destruction of the store. The acting was way over the top, especially by the kid. The fashions looked like some one from Flashdance did them.
