Red by Samy Hagar

It's the story of Samy Hagar. It tells about his debauched life in Rock and Roll from Montrose to Chickenfoot with stops at Van Halen. Lots of debauchery and drugs. Lots of money. He seems to have handle it all.

I read it mostly to hear about Van Halen. From Samy's view point, it got pretty ugly and it's still ugly. It made me feel sad about Eddie Van Halen.

The most amazing to me was his close relationship with Mickey Hart and how Hart produced one of Hagar's albums. Go figure.

If I'm going to be a rock star, I want it to be in the mold of Hagar's. He did all the drugs and sex and came out the other side relatively unscathed.

Heard him interviewed when this came out and he sounds like he has it together. Definitely a way better interview than I thought it would be. I went from "meh" to "rock on, dude!"
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Ahh..Samy Hagar. The musician whose music reminds one of 'Jamin' by Bob Marley and the classic Hamer Horror classics of the 70s. Both feature the kind of sumertime energy comonly found in radio programing. Some may say only rock lemings follow his frantic struming but to me he is imenselya talented and a Bay Area imortal.
