This was actually pretty entertaining. It's kind of a mash-up musical + vampire flick with a lot of rock and roll references (the way they recreate album covers in a few scenes is inspired).
Alice Cooper is the devil, Malcolm McDowell is Eddie Van Helsing (get it?), Iggy Pop is the rock legend turned producer, Dave Foley is the fair-weather manager and Henry Rollins is the obnoxious D.J. You want to see this already, don't you?
The young indie band touring the U.S. and Canada is played by some unknowns (to me) but did a great job of serving up the often clever dialog. The music isn't bad either.
It does have some over-the-top gore scenes so it's not for the squeamish.
