Took my mom for Mothers Day. This was up against "Up", "Coraline", and "Fantastic Mr. Fox" for an Academy Award for animated feature. Very stylized artwork. Pretty to look at. Interesting (tho inaccurate) story. I would peg the audience as children/young adults. It's a renter...

PS: Brother Aiden reminded me of Willy Nelson and Brother Tang(?) looked like Mr. Magoo.

Great artistic style. The whole DM fam enjoyed it, including Mrs. Dm, who generally frowns on animation as a worthy art form. T enjoyed it because it had an empowered girl and an empowered cat. She wants to watch it again before we post it back to netflix. T was a bit creeped out by the Crom sequence. So was I, actually. I loved the use of Celtic knots in the visions, the forest and the snowflakes.
The DVD commentary mentions the Willie Nelson similarity. The viking sequences reminded me a lot of the animation for The Wall.
I would enjoy hearing Greg or KB's opinion on it.
