Academy award nominee for foreign. Look it up if you must. I had a kendo master named Temudjin - he was the first rasta I ever got to know.
Cool armor. Awesome scenery. Medieval Mongolian atmosphere is unique. I didn't mind the digital blood. But I fell asleep. In a fight scene, no less. Why are Russian films so damn long?

Why can't I remember how to spell that word. It's been in the Netflix DVD list since I heard about it a month ago.

...to have a queue. The queue was imposed on Han Chinese during the Qing as a symbol of subservience. The Qing were the Manchus, the descendants of the Mongols, in case you were wondering where I was going with this.
I'd delete Mongol from your Netflix queue. The more I think about it, the more I disliked it. It had great scenery, decent battles, good acting, but it moves so ploddingly slow, like watching permafrost thawing, and there's many plot turns that make no sense whatsoever. One moment Temudjin is falling through the frozen river ala Never Cry Wolf (not a spoiler - it's in the trailer). The next scene, he's on the shore. How he got there from under the ice alive is never explained. He's only like 10 in that scene too. And that's up in the beginning. It gets worse after that.
There's a heavy metal soundtrack for the credits. Thank Jah. It woke my up from a much needed nappy.

In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Does 'Search' not search past a certain point in the past?
Searching 'Mongol' just brought up a 'Mulan' thread.

It's tricky. And, no, I don't know the trick. Just get OCD like DM and you'll remember exactly where you placed your cheese.

The search has never worked on this forum. But that's okay. It gives Greg and me something to do - sort of an Alzheimer's test...
