It's a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window without the plausability, logic or suspense. Maybe if you hadn't seen the original this would have been a really good film, but it suffers greatly by comparison.
Shia LeBeuf stars in the Jimmy Stewart role. He can't leave the house becuase he's under house arrest. He punched a teacher at school and now he gets to wear the ankle bracelet. Oh, the high jinks he gets into, especially when the hot neighbor teen moves in next door.
It was just a lot of stupid scenes and fake tension. You knew he was going to get the girl next door. You knew the other neighbor was bad. The only good thing was the surprising car crash in the beginning. So watch that and then go see Rear Window.
