Joaquin Phoenix does a good job. Reese Witherspoon does a good job. I think their singing was excellent.
But did this exact same movie last year and called it "Ray". It's amazing how similar their stories are. Except for that whole blindness thing. This movie probably would have been better served if it came out in a few years.
And yes, the trailer do trick you. In the trailer, they wanted to show Cash as the badass man in black. But that's a far cry from the character in the movie. And boy can I relate to his problems with his father (And yes, Queen, it was Robert Patrick from Terminator 2)
The most ironic line "Well Elvis takes them"
