David Byrne - Music for the Knee Plays (Nonesuch Records) - thatguy - 12-26-2007

This was recently re-released on CD. It includes 8 previously unreleased tracks as well as a DVD that has the original tracks timed with a slideshow of the opening night of the original theatrical performance.

If you haven't heard it before, think of David Bryne fronting a somber Dixie-land band. The music is great, and even though I've been listening to both of these tracks for over 10 years, I just figured out the other day that the song "Theodora is dozing" is a version of "Polegnala e todora" (sung by the Bulgarian Womens Choir):

Highly recommended...

The Bulgarian Women's Choir! It must be the time zone difference.
