Widow Cliquot (2024) - Greg - 11-19-2024
No sword fights. No booms. No loads. No quirky sidekicks with clever bon mots. The Widow Cliquot tells the story of the birth of the winery for Veuve Cliquot. Vueve means widow. According to Wikipedia there are lot of holes in the fictionalized version, but it was a still a pretty good story. The story jumps up and down the timeline from the widowhood to the marriage to the funeral to the attack by the Russians. It is all quite languid and at times a bit surreal.
Slow going but ultimately satisfying in a very arty way.
