What a shit year for music

No wonder we started our own bands...

Hold on now - I'm only at the 2 minute mark, and already two classics: "Here Comes the Rain Again" and "The Killing Moon." Plus I found a couple of new songs for my synthpop playlist.

And I thought you used to like "Rock You Like a Hurricane."

Don't get me wrong, there are some gems nestled in there, but overall, the vapidness of some of the music is excruciating...

I can't argue that. But it's probably true for every year. We just remember the good stuff.

I guess I'm not "mainstream"....I think Apollo (Eno), Catherine Wheel and Bush of Ghosts (Eno/Byrne), Mesopotamia (B52s), Twang Bar King and Lone Rhino (Belew), Mister Heartbreak (Anderson), Breakfast in the Field and Aerial Boundries (Hedges), Diamond Life (Sade) were in heavy rotation on my cassette deck at the time.
