Rest in Power Deborah Lee - Drunk Monk - 09-19-2023
Deborah was a major part of the Fillmore crew, a big woman with a big heart, tempered by the street life that surrounded the Mo, as well as years in the music biz. She was one of those people that you had to lock horns at least once during some chaos to earn her respect, but she was always kind to me. I was only peripheral to the Mo crew, but I know that whole family is grieving now. I haven't been back to the Mo since the pandemic, and even before that it was rare for me to make a pilgrimage. I should do that somenight soon, before more of my friends there fade away.
Cancer sucks.

I got a message that one of my classmates from grade school passed away on Monday.
Cancer both sucks and blows, simultaneously.
