Jet Li news - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-07-2007 How can we live without a Jet update? Who knew he was going to be a mummy ghost with fantastic martial arts powers? Don't miss the part about Michell Yeoh playing the wizard. Quote:Luke Ford Joins Mummy 3 WAR - Drunk Monk - 05-16-2007 http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=20385 The WARLORDS - Drunk Monk - 05-17-2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txyBNd25JmA Scabs - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-17-2007 At least in China, you can still get millions of extras for pennies a day. Jet, Jet, Jet - Drunk Monk - 05-17-2007 Does it bug you that Jet said he wasn't going to do any more martial arts films and now he has one called WAR coming out in Sep. and another called WARLORDS coming out in Dec? I'm sure what Jet meant was that he wasn't going to do any more martial arts films with the word "war" in the title, at least, not for 2007. I wasn't going to mention it . . . . - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-17-2007 Maybe he meant that month? He needs to do a road picture with Jackie Chan. Re: WAR - cranefly - 05-18-2007 Jet Li and Jason Statham, eh? I saw Statham in The Transporter. Very impressive. Especially the fight on the bus. He demonstrated surprising flexibility in addition to great speed and power. It's just too bad he was suspended for two sequels for fighting on a bus. I mean, true, you shouldn't fight on a bus. But still, he was fighting dudes who were armed and really evil. Doesn't that count for something? Apparently not. As the Commissioner of Bus Etiquette put it, "It may not be a fair decision, but it's the correct one." After all, them's the rules. Anyway, it's good to see Statham back in a different vehicle -- no pun intended. Yeah, you believe that, don't you. --cranefly Non-Sequitur Alert - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-18-2007 What the hell? Jason Statham? The only word about Li was in the first line. I'm putting my head down on the desk in the hope the world will stop spinning. Go Ducks! ![]() Timely Update - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 11-25-2007 Hmmm. I noticed DM gave us a link to this movies trailer a while back. Yet, here is an article in today's paper talking about his salary and the December release for Warlords. Once again do we need to remind Jet what retire from martial arts epics means? Quote: BEIJING (Reuters) - Chinese action star Jet Li is set to rake in 100 million yuan ($13 million) for his latest movie, a record for an actor in a Chinese-language film, state media reported on Sunday. Rob Cohen, yetchh - scapino - 12-06-2007 I really enjoyed The Mummy 1 & 2. Good popcorn fair. But now Universal has tapped the director of xXx, Fast and Furious, and Stealth to helm this project...two is a good number... Even with Jet Li, do we really want this third installment? FYI - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 12-17-2007 We need to be updated every time Jet's name is mentioned. Even if it's only once towards the end of the article in sort of a throw away fashion.
