The Supernatural Enhancements by Edgar Cantero - King Bob - 12-08-2022

This was sort of a horror/mystery hybrid, written in English by a Spanish novelist. I think it made the writing occasionally awkward. The story is that a slacker 20-something Englishman inherits the mansion of an American cousin who died, somewhat mysteriously. He was apparently involved in some sort of secret society, possibly occult. And there were coded messages left behind. And it's all told in letters, diary entries, videos (we get the description) etc. That made it occasionally slow for me. (I had the same problem with Dracula.) There is a lot of code breaking in the middle, which seemed too much for me after a while. Overall it was clever, with a surprise twist at the very end. Recommended is you like epistolary novels and codebreaking, with a dash of the occult.
