Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman (2021) - Drunk Monk - 11-18-2022

Peyton List (Tori from Cobra Kai) plays Aileen. It’s some cheap indie movie probably for some minor streaming network. Peyton was the only actor I knew.

It’s done in a made for tv (psycho killer). Peyton play one note - umm forgot what I was going to say. I need my meds before I sleep.

Didn't Charlize already tell this story and win an Academy Award for the portrayal?

Charlize killed it. Christina Ricci too. That’s a hard watch.

That was based on the same figure but this is a different story. It’s Aileen doing an interview hours before she is executed and making up so BS story - it tries to make a comment on how much of a victim she was and how the media exploited her but exploiting her as a victim. It doesn’t quite work.

Peyton is okay in it. She does villainess well. But not D00M recommended at all.

Ha! Charlize Killed it! I see what you did there because she was a serial killer. So funny.

I can't say I enjoyed Monster either.

Charlize has been in some daring role. Monster was way over the top.

Comparing Charlize's version to Peyton's is like comparing the shipwrecks in Titanic to Gilligan's Island
