Beginners: The Joy and Transformative Power of Lifelong Learning by Tom Vanderbilt - King Bob - 12-06-2021

One of these: journalist does some things and writes a book. He starts with some science about how learning new things is good for your brain. Then he learns to do things: chess (with his young daughter, who can learn much faster), singing (first lessons, then singing in a choir), juggling and drawing. It was fairly entertaining, particularly the juggling chapter. Since I've always sung and been in choirs, those chapters were a bit boring for me. Otherwise kind of fun. Perfect for when I run the scanner at work since it was easy to break off an pick back up.

It made me want to learn to juggle.
