Bitcoin Heist (2017) - Drunk Monk - 07-20-2020
Another Veronica Ngo. Or not. Got totally shatterstarred on this. I found it on Hoopla and only one actor is credited - dear Veronica. She's the heavy for the arch villain, clad in black, dressed to kill. Then she gets killed right away. WTH? Like in the first 15 mins or so.
I watched the rest of it since I 'borrowed' it on hoopla. It's a heist flick, absurd like most heist flicks. There's a lot of bandying about of hacker slang, as well as references to League of Legends and Death Note, both of which I only got marginally. A lot of tired tropes - stealing fingerprints, navigating past laser-guided alarms, double crossing. An actor from The Lost Dragon ( http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=5573) Petey Magik plays Jack Magique - a magician again. I guess he's a magician in real life. It's an unremarkable film. Veronica is good, but then she's gone.
No sword fights. Some knife slashing. Not DOOM recommended at all.

So. Is there one or two movies you'd recommend as Veronica's best?
I felt she was very good in Da 5 Bloods, by the way, though it didn't amount to much screen time. Her role was one of Spike Lee's best devices in the movie. Very effective.
