RIP Tom Littig - Drunk Monk - 04-06-2018 Tom was the master brewer for Anchor Steam, the person who hosted our wonderful Rock Med Anchor Steam tours. When I got off the plane in Denver and came out of airplane mode, my phone blew up with the news. Can't really stop to process it now because of work obligations. RE: RIP Tom Littig - King Bob - 04-12-2018 Has anyone else noticed that DM posts a lot of these? Are we in danger because we know him? RE: RIP Tom Littig - Greg - 04-12-2018 Sssshhhhhh! He's not supposed to know we know. RE: RIP Tom Littig - Drunk Monk - 04-12-2018 Death envelops me like an old quilt, tattered, mildewed, and not enough to keep me warm. ![]() RE: RIP Tom Littig - King Bob - 04-13-2018 Because I could not stop for Death – He kindly stopped for me RE: RIP Tom Littig - Drunk Monk - 04-15-2018 I will melt Tom’s remembrance lammy in a few hours. It’s my only task for tomorrow. RE: RIP Tom Littig - Drunk Monk - 04-15-2018 I did up 85+ lams for Tom. I’ll distribute them through LAP80 - the name of the clique that first encircled Tom when he made his initial anchor tour offer 16 years ago, as well as pass them out by hand to any that might ask. I don’t think Ive been tasked to do a remembrance Lam before but I’m not sure. Ive melted so many over the years. RE: RIP Tom Littig - Drunk Monk - 04-19-2018 Quote: RE: RIP Tom Littig - Drunk Monk - 04-26-2018 A memorial is in the works from some of his Anchor friends and Rock Med veterans. I hope I can make it, but the window is so narrow. When I return from Man at Arms, I go right into our tournament. RE: RIP Tom Littig - Drunk Monk - 05-03-2018 The memorial is 5/21 at Anchor. The Monday after TCEC. RE: RIP Tom Littig - Drunk Monk - 05-21-2018 Anchor held a wonderful Celebration of Life for Tom just now. Probably the last time I’ll set foot in the hallowed halls of that brewery. They opened up a nice tap room across the street last October. I would’ve loved that if I still drank beer. Maybe 200 showed up, many from RM, including his family. Raz spoke but told a story that wasn’t quite right and mumbled into the mic, so I spoke. I think it was a trick to get me to speak. I retold the story of how we met, of the first anchor tour for rm, and of how grateful we were to him. So many good stories were shared. The brewery supplied an excellent spread of finger foods. It was really nice. I only had one beer in his honor - my ol’ go to, a porter. I thought I might run out of laminates. I gave them to RMers, the family, the manager of the Chris Robinson band, and anyone who asked. I still have a few. They were well received. I was given a bottle of anchorage gin, a Jerry Garcia bobble head, and this odd steel-tipped rubber mini-whip that is either a weapon or a sex toy - I can’t tell. Yeah, that was from Brother Dan. |
