I thought it would be cheakier especially after the opening scene where the Gypsy mail order bride kills her prospective suitor. Alas, poor Yorick, such was not the case.
Bruce Campbell, the auteur behind the piece got all his friends together to help make the movie, including b-movie helpmate Ted Raimi. Maybe they were reliving the good old day's of Xene warrior princess.
It's a hodgepode of a story, part Frankenstein, part Love story, part russian gangster film. But none of them quite worked.
