The Da Vinci Code - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-21-2006 Yeeha. As the only person left in America not to have read the book, I can honestly review the movie on it's own merits. If it had merits, that is. It was a giant collection of action sequences held together by huge holes in logic. I wasn't bored, though. I spent a lot of time during the movie thinking "Why the hell did they do that" I can see why the church would be outraged. It's depiction of priests and monks was less than wholesome, especially when one is strapping spikes to his legs. Yikes. It had a lot of crappy dialogue. It had plenty of overacting by Sir Ian and we know he can do better. And it had Tom Hanks atrocious haircut. The film was well attended at 10:30 am Saturday morning and a few people had the audacity to clap when the credits rolled. |
