Pound of Flesh - Drunk Monk - 12-04-2016
I really like JCVD since he crossed 50. He's matured and even though he doesn't move like he used to but he has a new gravitas. Now I got like a pound of these promo dvds when they came out. Never watched them. Traded them for drugs...I mean books! And cds! And store credit! Anyway, this is a tight little actioner. Good ultravi, no swordfights but a decent knife fight. Good plot too, for what it was. This was one of the last films of Darren Shalavi, a great stuntman and delivers a nice finale fight with JCVD. If you don't have Netflix, let me know and I'll send you a leftover DVD.

Heh, I just watched the first epsiode of the "Jean Claude Van Johnson" comedy last night on Amazon Prime. Not great, but has its moments..

Turns out I am on Amazon Prime. Or at least, my wife is. And I just figured out how to stream to my TV.
I luved the Jean-Claude Van Johnson pilot. JCVD is at the top of his game here. Great comedy, great action. I especially luved all the vaping bearded hipsters. Spot on, JCVD. I just hope we keep Amazon Prime until the rest of the series comes out.
