Elstree 1976 - Greg - 09-10-2016 It's a curious title hearkening back to when Star Wars was filmed at the studio back in 1976. So, you would think it would explore the making of Stars Wars. And it does, sort of. Not really. Rather it's the story of a bunch of bit playing actors, how they got their start, and the few days they worked on Star Wars. The first thirty minutes was interminable as these people told their origin stories. I kept asking myself 'Where is the bit about Star Wars and Elstree Studios?" And finally it did come. They talked about it for ten minutes and then they moved on to more stories about post Star Wars. I had to shut it off. I didn't need to hear about busking in the tube. I don't care you made it on to some British Soap. I had to end it. David Prowse was the only name you will recognize unless you have deep knowledge about the waitress at the cantina or the names of all the rebel pilots. Plus, they cheated. They had new footage of people in the stages that had been grunged up to make it look like it was shot in 1976. Grr. Someone go see this from the 55 minute mark and tell me if I missed anything. Prowse was great in A Clockwork Orange - Drunk Monk - 09-10-2016 Hey remember this thread? http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=3296 Neither do I.
