Penn and Teller: Fool Us/ Wizard Wars - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 08-19-2014 So, three years ago, Penn and Teller had a show on in England called Penn and Teller: fool us. Magicians are invited on to show their best stuff and if they can fool Penn & Teller, they win a trip to Las Vegas to perform as an opening act for Penn & Teller. They are airing it on the CW to fill space until the new fall shows arrive. It is quite an amusing show if you like magic. And P&T can be fooled. But the best part of the show is when P&T do one of their own tricks to wrap up the show. I like that part. But it is a good show all around. Today, I'm amused by the fact SyFy has a new show called Wizard Wars. Magicians come on to show their tricks to P&T. Um. Err. What are the odds there would be two magic shows on TV here in 2014? What are the odds they would both star Penn & Teller? I caught a little of this the other night.... - Drunk Monk - 08-19-2014 The Fool Us one. It was amusing but not that amusing. I would have liked a slo-mo reply when they were explaining the trick. Re: Penn and Teller: Fool Us/ Wizard Wars - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 08-19-2014 They never explain the trick. They just tell enough to let the magician on stage know that they know how the trick was accomplished. Could do with a lot less of lisping host Stephen Ross. yea, that's my point - Drunk Monk - 08-20-2014 They sort of say what happened, enough for the magician to know that they are on to them and concede, but they don't really give it away. I need the instant replay for this to work for me. |
