Desktop Support Technician of the Year - El Dingo - 02-02-2012 That's right homies. Yours truly is going to Orlando to compete with the best of the best. Last month I won the SF Bay Area district competition: http://www.sfhdi.org/ This month I won the West Coast semifinals and am now being sent to Orlando, Florida (all expenses paid) for the international finals. Who's your daddy now? ![]() You Rock - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 02-02-2012 And what is it you do again? Re: Desktop Support Technician of the Year - El Dingo - 02-02-2012 Pretty much this. ![]() Re: Desktop Support Technician of the Year - thatguy - 02-02-2012 Did you try turning it off and on again? --tg Re: Desktop Support Technician of the Year - thatguy - 02-02-2012 PS: In my experience as IT Admin at Aladdin for 8 years, I found that the things I didn't get to usually worked themselves out. Just ignore it and it will eventually go away... --tg Re: Desktop Support Technician of the Year - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 02-03-2012 Go get 'em! Rip 'em a new...widgit? Congrats ED! - Drunk Monk - 02-04-2012 That's awesome! Vanquish all contenders! BE DST WORLD CHAMPION! For the honor of DOOM!!!! So what are the rules of this competition exactly? Are elbow strikes legal? P.S. You'll be able to add to my thread on Orlando FL. It's a very odd place, like Vegas without all the sin. You'll luv it. Re: Desktop Support Technician of the Year - El Dingo - 05-10-2012 I have returned from the magical land of ORLANDOOOOOOOOO (insert The Book of Mormon musical reference here). I did not win the coveted Desktop Support Technician of the Year title. Some girl won it. Yeah - a cute girl won the uber-geek award. I think the panel of three MALE judges were so pleased to have a girl talk to them they just gave her the prize on the spot. I still got a free trip to Florida out of it so whatever. Universal Studios and Disney World were a lot of fun so all in all it was a good trip. Re: Desktop Support Technician of the Year - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-10-2012 Inquiring minds need to know what was involved in the competition? Was it a genitals check? Did you have to answer support questions from elderly hearing impaired hecklers? Was it sartorial in nature? So many questions. I feel your pain from not winning. 'twas beauty killed the beast... - Drunk Monk - 05-10-2012 The Mormon aspect of Orlando is disturbing. Having Universal and Disney right on top of each other is disturbing. Did you visit http://www.holylandexperience.com? We didn't. Too disturbing. |
