The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-15-2011 Netflix, what have you done to me? The curiosity factor and boredom made me stream this to the TV. It's Dave Baruchal Nick Cage version by way of Bruckheimer. Since it was Bruckheimer they didn't skimp on the effects budget. However because of some weird download problem or the fact that it was supposed to be in 3-D, the picture constantly flickered. It's almost like they erased almost all but not quite every 3-D effect and the 3-D was struggling to regain control of the picture. It was passable. It was like reading a Young Adult novel. It had that level of sophistication and storytelling. It wasn't as horrible as the critics made it out to be and it wasn't a complete Nick Cage picture, more of Dave Baruchal picture. The best part about the film and the thing that kept me interested was Alfred Molina. He did a lot of scenery chewing but it's what the part called for. Re: The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Haggis Killer - 05-16-2011 It must have lost its badness factor on the small screen. I made the mistake of paying for this movie to torture me in a public venue. Perhaps your flickering screen were the remnants of the reverberations of horrors this film caused to course through my withering psyche. Re: The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-17-2011 It's good to know there is still a tremendous lack of consensus here in the Brotherhood. lack of consensus? - Drunk Monk - 05-17-2011 No there isn't. |
