Revolutionary Road - Drunk Monk - 02-09-2009 not a happy film, in fact it's the anti-titanic. instead of an epic love story set in a historic tragedy with lots of cgi, kate & leo are going through a marriage meltdown in mundane suburbia of the 50's. kathy bates even co-stars again. any scene with kate & leo is explosive - they have great chemistry and the fights are all about pushing buttons and launching emotional atom bombs. michael shannon is spot on as the nutbag. a good film, but emotionally draining. Re: Revolutionary Road - thatguy - 02-09-2009 I liked Michael Shannon too. He's up for an Oscar for that part. --tg |
