The Last Templar - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 01-27-2009

I hope it's the last one, because this one sucked.

Who plans a robbery mounted on horseback in 12th century armour through the streets of New York and then manages to escape? Except for one guy who is caught by a girl who steals a horse from the police and manages to chase the culprits down. She knocks him out with a crozier. The woman is Mira Sorvino dressed in a pink cocktail dress and moaning about her Manolos. It seemed like the bad idea from Sex and the City.

Did you know you can take a 3-d xray at the airport? Did you know from that x-ray you can make a full working replica of a 12th century templar code machine? And you can do that in hours. Technology sure is great.

At times it wanted to be the DaVinci code, what with the evil Monsingor and his killer and all the code nonsense. I take that back, it always wanted to be the Da Vinci code without all the plausability. Except in the end it cast apsersions against all these stories that want to bring the church down.

Did you know when you go to an archeology dig all you have to bring is shovels? Did you know that volcanic eruptions can make beautiful underground caverns in which you can preserve churches? Did you know the best way to find these churches is to say "I think it's this way". Who knew science was so easy?

I did watch two nights. It had the look of series pilot. Don't be fooled when it comes to a weekly series near you.

2 nights? I gave it 2 minutes and then went back to deburring my ocelot. No, that is not a euphemism; my ocelot has a lot of rough edges. Never buy a cheap ocelot.
