That buddy fought NHB in Kazikstan and was a UFC alternate, plus trained with heavy traditional kung weapons, so he's pretty good about knowing decent weapons. I still get into the occassional light saber battle - in fact, I'm expecting one this Saturday at the Exotic Erotic. Seriously. The problem with light saber battles is the toy ones are designed to break. If I had solid light saber, I could be king. King, I tell you. KING!!!! I do have a new light saber, just for this year's Halloween. I opted for the cheapo version from planet Targes - it makes a humming sound but it's short. It also ~vibrates~ when hit. That was the sell point.
