I'll cop to an "endless fever-dream review written in some clean, psychedelic, yet UNapologetic style" but I hope you mean ED or CF when you say Canadian Ginsburg.
Just remember, I've been paid to write movie reviews. I think I'm the only one of us who has taken money for such an odious task. Now I'm invited to screeners of almost everything. Which reminds me, they do a lot of screeners in a private small theater on Market & 3rd, typically on weekday afternoons. Next time I'm up there for something of mutual interest, I'll invite you along, PPFY. I can bring a guest.

At least you gave up the ee cummings impersonation and started to use punctuation again...ED was pretty tweaked. If you want to really annoy, eliminate punctuation AND spaces!

I went back for this in an attempt to refresh my memory about the 10 Rings in anticipation of the Shang Chi screener. So much of the origin story just doesn’t work for me now. Building the arc reactor and the first suit covertly whilst in captivity is so absurd. It’s dumb. But who cares?
What redeems it is the performances of Robert, Jeff and dare I add Gwyneth? As much as I loath goop, she’s good in this. The others are on point too. Robert is so good as Stark.
The cgi effects were revolutionary at the time but are TV rate now. The superhero fights were great.
It’s the creation story for all of the MCU and a lot of the nascent formula is apparent.
I was mindlessly entertained for two hours.
I don’t know anything more about the 10 rings than before - they are evil terrorists. Got it. They use a similar flag in this as we see in the Shang Chi trailer.
I might watch the other 2 too. Well, maybe one of them tomorrow, prolly IM3 because that was the one with the Mandarin, right?

I saw that a bit ago. I looked it up when researching Shang Chi. It was an extra in the Thor BRD, and could be found online but was scrubbed soon after.

Pastor Mark Huges of the Church of the Rock in Winnipeg has a tendency to … update the Easter story for his annual sermon. He's done Back To The Future parodies, and Lion King remakes. But perhaps his greatest achievement was in 2019, when he had the Devil as Loki performing REM's "It's The End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" before crucifying Jesus as Iron Man on the cross — who in turn responds to Loki's musical interlude by singing "Tubthumping" by Chumbawamba.
