I get the rhythm now. It’s kinda like Jamaica. Sun is up, crowd is small, blisteringly hot. Sun goes down, crowd parties hard, and I get the runaround.

Web access failed me as did texting - grid overload. Lost a post.
Had a major diabetic crash patient at VIP for Modest Mouse. So I had a great soundtrack for a hardcore call. A good save. That went to a choking victim where we got to actually apply a heimlich - 1st thing any medic learns but most of us never use it.
Ipr1 - dude claimed he got rophied. Said his friends dressed him to cosplay as gay. He was having some sexuality issues. Got him through and reunited with friends.

Temp 103 so cooling protocol took over. Got him down and dressed. Phone recovered - he tossed it and hit some gal in the head who returned it. Another success.
Ipr 4 hysterical gal lost her phone and was crying. Reunited her with her fiancée who took care of her.

Took a chair to Fremont stage for Dillon Francis. Messed up on stage side so crossed in the pit and got a bass blast. The team walked the call in so I just took the chair for sallies.
Asked to stand ready at illeneum pit. Nothing happened. It was big sound. Still vibrating.

Actually she peed on the cot first and then went for the lap dance so it was a minimal quantity of pee. And she was so gorgeous that under different circumstances it would’ve been acceptable.

I did have plugs but just standards. I need to reinvest in some pro plugs. I lost my pro pairs years ago.
I was so tempted to sneak a vid. It’s such a strange and wonderful place. The sound is so massive that it vibrates your organs, your clothing, your marrow. It pushes you over. The crowd is hardcore fans to cling the rail. Their ecstatic joy is palpable as they head bang and mouth ever lyric. The throb rocks the barriers. Hot chicks pop up like dandelions atop their boyfriends’ shoulders waving their phones like fronds in the wind, only to be trimmed back by pit crew with high intensity flashlights beaming in their new gleeful faces. The lights play on the distant structure at the back of the field in time. And the pyro buffets you with intense and forceful heat.
But we must stand at the ready like Buckingham palace guards, stoically among gargantuan bouncers, hard working camera crew and the occasional guest of the band. It’s been years since I’ve done any pit work. I’m not really fit for it anymore but honored to be positioned there again.

Covid screening is fairly rigorous to get into LiB. We’re all tagged with an additional health check wristband. The casinos and Fremont st are another story. There’s a trumpet presence on Fremont with some protestors with signage and hats for sale. I’m keeping my n95 up and safety goggles, plus washing my hands like lady macbeth (I used that line already here, right? Gotta remember that for some future feature...)

Time is so weird in Vegas. Today has been hysterical with lots of day 3 laugh jags, flirty fun with strangers and old friends. Tired but luv this zone even if it takes portapotty hotboxing to get here.

What a weekend. Hope I don’t catch covid.
I’ve tucked into a nook for Billie with my back to a side barricade. Been working some overpriced Fremont st Med for strength & power. All the music is hitting me like a hammer Sunday. I’m vulnerable because of the weekend but also receptive. Speaking of which, I ran into my lap dancer and her crew. She was grateful and better and they took a pic with me that’s so LiB.
Spotty fest access for the D00M4m has been frustrating. Many post fails. But at least I didn’t get as discombobulated as BlisterRock. Hope y’all been enjoying the show. I have. It’ll help me remember wtf happened.
