RE: Superbowl ads - cranefly - 02-14-2022

A bit off-topic, as it's not ad-related.  But LCF chose the time of the Superbowl to got to Costco.  She was careful to time it right so she didn't hit pre-SB shoppers.  That could have been nasty.

It worked out well, mostly.  Not many people, so it was pleasant enough.  But there was one problem.  No grapes.  Entirely sold out.  She asked an employee about it, and he told her that grapes always sell out for Superbowls and are the number one tailgate party item.

You learn something new every day.

(Or I make up some ridiculous nonsense every day.)

When you said 'grapes' I thought 'damn, I just watched something where grapes gave everyone immediate diarrhea and there were only 5 bathrooms for six people. WTF was that?'

I just came to me as I was writing this post - http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=6822

Is the forum on the fritz again? I don't see anything.

Toying with the idea of skipping the Superb Owl this year. But the commercials pull me back in.

RE: Superbowl ads - Drunk Monk - 02-10-2023

I can see it on my LIEphone, but not on my browser (Safari)

RE: Superbowl ads - Greg - 02-10-2023

They are back in my browser. For now. Oh, how you tease, computer.

RE: Superbowl ads - Drunk Monk - 02-10-2023

What browser do you use?

Still can't see them on Safari here. It's no big. I watch them later when I get on another browser/device.

RE: Superbowl ads - Greg - 02-10-2023

I'm using Safari. When was the last time you upgraded your OS? The problem cleared up with the latest upgrade.

RE: Superbowl ads - Drunk Monk - 02-10-2023

My last update was a few months back but it's the most up to date for what I'm running (Big Sur). I'm cautious about the updates now because some of the programs I work with for work don't adjust well - another Mac domination ploy no doubt.

What are you wearing?

Wait, no, what are you running? That's what I meant to write. Stupik spelchuk!

You need a lie down.

I'm running Ventura 13.0.1

fair.

I always need a little lie down.

RE: Superbowl ads - thatguy - 02-12-2023

I wonder if the issue is the mismatch between www.youtube.com m.youtube.com and youtu.be (?) links. I think Safari desktop is heavy handed about blocking cross-site redirects and may not be handling the various embedded links schemas well.

It is my theory, that is mine and belongs to me.
