RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Drunk Monk - 12-22-2024 Today is just laundry, present wrapping, and the last yoga intensive class. Might treat myself to a slurp of patchouli. RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Greg - 12-22-2024 Oh, yay. My car has decided not recognize my car keys. I guess I'll go fix that. RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Drunk Monk - 12-22-2024 The government controls those keys. Slurp, slurp, slurp. Darth’s remote key function hasn’t worked in a year or two. I let Stacy have what I thought might be the working key but then took it back after we got her a new car. Turns out it’s not the key; its darth. I have to unlock manually and there’s just one keyhole (driver’s side). It’s some government control thing related to tariffs. RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Greg - 12-22-2024 My lock is broken on the car so the manual entry doesn't work. I'm guessing it's the battery. Very cranky. Or non-cranking, as the case may be. Heading into town tomorrow to get a new one. That's another couple hundred I didn't need to spend. RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Drunk Monk - 12-22-2024 Bummer. I worry that the same will happen to Darth soon. Your manual key is driven by the battery? RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Greg - 12-22-2024 There is a pin in the lock that doesn't do what is supposed to do for manual entry. I learned that when I had the guy out to open the car a couple of weeks ago. RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Greg - 12-22-2024 I got the car to start. Disconnecting the battery is the trick. RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Drunk Monk - 12-22-2024 WTH is up with your car? RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Greg - 12-22-2024 Haunted. Lifelong electrical gremlins. Always been there. RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - thatguy - 12-22-2024 I just had that problem with my CRV. Remote unlock would get in a weird state and then nothing worked. Manual wouldn't open the door and there's only one lock on the entire car. I was going to take it to Honda but a co-worker said to just. Put some wd-40 on the key and work the lock. I actually sprayed the wd-40 in the lock, but eventually, it started working again... --tg RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Drunk Monk - 12-23-2024 I’ll keep that in mind. What year was your CRV tg? It’s another Monday. 2 telemeets, work and wrapping two gifts that I forgot to include yesterday. RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Greg - 12-23-2024 All will be cut. RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - thatguy - 12-23-2024 2010...also, the driver door underwent some repair as there was that one time my mom backed out her car, didn't see my door was open and folded it backwards against the front fender.... --tg RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - King Bob - 12-24-2024 WD40 can gum up locks. Use spray graphite instead. RE: Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps - Greg - 12-24-2024 Finish up the final section of the Tu translation and send off to translator. Swap out car battery. Prep turkey dinner for tomorrow. Load up the car with lots of crap for my 'Toga vacation. |
