When you are right, your are right, DM. The week of TQOOT is upon us. The first fight at the pit was bad. Too many cuts. The first twenty minutes of the film was too much exposition about things we saw in the first minute. I thought the special forces women's fights were all good.

I didn't hate it so much as it was meh.

I felt a lot of the fights were poorly edited and shot. If they had gone with a less shaky camera, it would’ve improved my overall reaction, because the action was well choreographed, just poorly shot. Given that the director is a stuntman, I expected better.

We shall see how this team handles The Roundup p4.

I’m just happy that Den reached out to me for this one. It justifies me writing off Netflix for another year (Netflix is the only service that requires reviewers to have an account to see screeners).

RE: Badland Hunters - Greg - 01-29-2024

Here is my other reason for not liking the film or at least giving me pause.

I was deep into the jinxes surrounding (MORE ON THAT ELSEWHERE) the NFC Championship game between the 49ers and the Detroit Lions. I didn't want any omen no matter small, sway the game for the Lions. In this film, the young guy, the archer, wears a 49er jacket. It freaked me out. I was waiting for him or the jacket to be destroyed in some way which point to the destruction of the Niners. No, it's not rational. Yet, here we are.

I enjoyed it.
