Hey, it's a t-swizzle song about her love life. Really a departure.

Here's the lyric version of another song from the album. It comes across more like a dictionary entry than a song, with a lot of clunky verses.

Ah, the secret to how the album was made. From a real Internet review type person, definitely not a parody piece.
Waterford Whispers News Wrote:Speaking of how she created the feel and vibe of the album, Swift confirmed sacrificing Stevie Nicks as part of Pagan bonfire ritual really paid off. And to her credit, the album is all the better for it.

Taylor Swift has taken over the entire Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the first-ever artist to so do. All 10 songs atop this week's Hot 100 come from Swift's album Midnights, which was released on Oct. 21. With the news, Swift surpasses Drake's feat last year, when he captured nine of the Top 10 spots on the Hot 100 chart.
"Anti-Hero" took the No. 1 spot, replacing "Unholy" by Sam Smith and Kim Petras — both of whom made their own mark on history with their No. 1 spot last week.
The album continues to break a string of records, including being the most-streamed album in one day on both Spotify and Apple Music and logging the third-biggest streaming week ever for an album. Swift's album Red (Taylor's Version) previously held the mantle for Swift's biggest streaming week in 2021.
Midnights also earned Swift her 11th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, recording the biggest week for any album in seven years (since Adele's 25). Swift has tied Barbara Streisand for the most No. 1 albums released by a female artist, according to Billboard.
Swift focused Midnights on the classic trope of the midnight confession, using a conversational singing style to tell stories for after-hours inspired by self-loathing, fantasizing about revenge and wondering what might have been.
Along with releasing new music, Swift has been rerecording her classic albums after her former label, Big Machine, sold her catalog for a reported $300 million to private-equity group Ithaca Holdings. She has released rerecordings of her albums Fearless and Red.
I've listened to the whole album. It hasn't grabbed me yet but I was only playing it as background music whilst working as I do so I wasn't really paying that much attention. But I'm ready for her to tour again.

10 songs in the top 10? Wow.
I did the see the video for Anti-hero. I thought it was a powerful moment when the scale just read fat. I'm curious what the argument was for cutting that shot out. Didn't think the song was all that great.

Like a number of cities across the U.S. this summer, Santa Clara, CA is getting ready for Taylor Swift‘s massive Eras Tour by giving itself a Swiftover. In this case, the Mission City’s Mayor announced this week that her town is gearing up for Swift’s July 28 and 29 dates at Levi’s Stadium by officially changing its name to “Swiftie Clara.”
According to the Mercury-News, on Tuesday night (July 18), Mayor Lisa Gillmor said in addition to the name change, the 33-year-old singer has also been named the honorary mayor in a proclamation that said the honor was being bestowed to “celebrate the positive local impact to the Santa Clara community, as well as the impact regionally, of Taylor Swift’s music, tours and extraordinary fanbase.”
Like so many Swifties who are paying tribute to the various Taylor eras with home-brewed costumes and arms full of friendship bracelets, Mayor Gillmor got into it at her press conference by wearing a light purple blazer in honor of last week’s release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). She also sported a friendship bracelet she got from a member of the city’s parks and rec staff that read “Swiftie Clara.”
“We’re thrilled to host an artist whose devotion to music and empowerment sets such a positive example for so many people of all ages in the world and that’s why we’re doing this,” Gillmor said, cueing up a video in which the mayor referenced a number of the singer’s most beloved hits. “So get ready to see ‘sparks fly’ as ‘the crowds in the stands went wild’ and to ‘shake it off’ while being a part of an unforgettable experience at Levi’s Stadium,” Gillmor said, in reference to the Swift songs “Sparks Fly,” “Long Live” and “Shake It Off.”
The two gigs at Levi’s Stadium are the penultimate stops on the U.S. run of the Eras Tour, which will wind down on August 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA.
Gillmor is just the latest mayor to hand over the keys to Swift, following in the footsteps of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who last week said the city would temporarily switch up its name to Swiftieapolis, with Minnesota Gov. Tim Waltz proclaiming June 23-24 “Taylor Swift Days.” Pittsburgh was renamed “Swiftsburgh” for a week in early June and a road near Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri already named Swift Street was flipped to “Swift Street (Taylor’s Version).”

Are you going, DMSwiftie?

I'm working the Saturday show at Levi's on the weekend after SDCC. Wouldn't miss her.
This tour will become the first tour in history to break $1B.
Forget the Swifty Nation. She's the biggest on the planet.
It's T-swizzle's world. We just live in it.

Quote:Bay Area Cities Welcome Taylor With Honorary Mayorship And “Taylor Swift Weekend”
Taylor Swift is about to get a hero's welcome in the Bay Area for her Santa Clara tour stop this July.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour will soon touch down at Levi’s Stadium on July 28-29, 2023, and Bay Area cities are going all out to honor her visit. As per the Chronicle, SF District 6 Supervisor Matt Dorsey just proposed a resolution that will declare Taylor’s Bay Area tour dates as “Taylor Swift Weekend” in San Francisco, which the Board will vote on next Tuesday, July 25.
On the same day as SF’s proposal, Santa Clara declared similar motions to honor Taylor Swift. Santa Clara Mayor Lisa M. Gillmor said in a video announcement that the city will be renamed “Swiftie Clara” and the singer will be proclaimed Honorary Mayor on Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29.

And yes, of course both Gillmor’s Santa Clara announcement and Dorsey’s San Francisco proposal included the requisite Taylor Swift song references.
“So join us in Swiftie Clara as we dance like we’re ’22,’ like we’re made of ‘Starlight,’ and scream to be heard in unison, said Gillmor. “These days will be ‘Golden’ as we write a chapter in our city’s history. Let’s create a ‘Love Story’ that echos through the ages. Swiftie Clara, you’re our ‘Evermore.'”
Dorsey credited the references in his speech to “four passionate Swifties” in his office, saying, “With only one more board meeting left, I must ‘Speak Now’ on this resolutiondeclaring July 28 and 29th Taylor Swift weekend in the City and County of San Francisco. As you may know ‘All Too Well,’ Taylor Swift is a music industry icon and an advocate for change.”
SF and Santa Clara are certainly not the first cities honoring Taylor during the Eras Tour stops. Billboard reported that Glendale, AZ was renamed to “Swift City;” Las Vegas, NV lit up its Gateway Arches; Arlington, TX renamed a street to “Taylor Swift Way;” Houston, TXrenamed its venue “NRG Stadium (Taylor’s Version);” Nashville, TN dedicated a bench to Taylor in Centennial Park; and Minneapolis, MN was renamed “Swiftie-apolis.”
Santa Clara is gearing up for huge crowds on the weekend of July 28-29, for which they’ll be running an extra light rail train service.

49ers Management encountered unexpected backlash after enforcing a ban on friendship bracelets at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concerts in Levi's Stadium on July 28 and 29. The ban, announced merely days before the concerts, initially left Taylor Swift fans – or "Swifties" – reeling, and caught the attention of Santa Clara Mayor Lisa Gillmor who called for a change in policy.
In response to the uproar from fans and Mayor Gillmor's intervention, the policy was swiftly overturned, with the stadium management reversing their decision within 24 hours.
Nevertheless, some perplexed Swifties remain unhappy about the fumbling move by 49ers Management, taking to social media to vent their frustration and disappointment.
Banning friendship bracelets at the Eras Tour came as a surprise, considering the custom of exchanging and gifting bracelets has been a significant aspect of the experience for Swifties attending her concerts for months.
According to the Douglas County Sentinel, Levi's Stadium, which hosts the NFL's San Francisco 49ers, implemented several surprising policies for the July 28 and 29 concerts.
Aside from the bracelet ban, other policies enforced included the prohibition of tailgating and disallowing fans without tickets from listening to the concerts from surrounding areas.
The ban on bracelets seemed to particularly affect the Eras Tour attendees, who were already eagerly crafting their friendship bracelets in anticipation of the concerts, only to be told they were not permitted in Levi's Stadium.
Ultimately, what should have been a smooth and enjoyable experience for loyal Taylor Swift fans turned into a turbulent affair as Levi's Stadium management scrambled to reverse their decisions to appease upset Swifties and Mayor Gillmor.
How the hell were they planning to control that?
I have a friendship bracelet that a fellow Swifty (cosplaying as Barbie) gave me whilst we were in the ridiculous line to get in on Sunday. She and I just started talking like you do in such lines, and somehow T-Swizzle came up and I told her I was going, and she was so happy for me. She had Barbie friendship bracelets from her wrists to her elbows and planned to give them to her fellow Barbie cosplayers, but she had a black one that said SDCC which she gave to me. I promised her I'd wear it at the show and beam her some Tay-Tay vibes through it from there - which I will do - Levis be damned.
