And this is how it all began.

RE: Mad Max: Fury Road - Greg - 08-23-2020

The Queen had never seen any of the Mad Max movies so last night I rectified that. I showed her The Road Warrior which still holds up after thirty some odd years. Although it is kind of hard to watch Mel Gibson at this point.

Tonight we will watch Fury Road. I'm skipping Beyond Thunderdome which I never felt was that good.

One of my cousins posted on FB that at my house it's got to be more like Furry Road.

I may have to block him.

I should just stick to watching movies twice to get the full effect. This was much better the second time through. I caught a lot more of the nuances. I had a better understanding of what was going on so I could just watch the mayhem. My main thought was how did they do that? So many times. And George Miller is messed up if this is coming out of his brain.

I think tQ enjoyed this as well.

I recall that El Dingo raved over Fury Road and watched it multiple times.  I neglected to put in my two cents at the time, but felt it was an exceptionally well-crafted movie.

Several things put it over the top for me, but one of them, choosing to use real vehicles, no models or CGI, really added to it.  Of course, most directors don't have the budget to do that.

It’s all about Furiousa for me... and her nuances.
