Okay, I'm not in Rome nor am I meeting celebrity authors like GRRM and Modesitt. But I did have a slight fan encounter thanks to Stro.
In case you haven't noticed D'Asaro's alma mater, NYU, will no longer be charging tuition for medical students. Which is awesome. More schools should do this. But Clark Gregg, better known as Agent Coulson tweeted that he was proud to be an NYU Violet because of this. I responded to his tweet that it was a small world because I was doing a documentary on another Violet (Yes, the NYU teams are the Violets).
An hour later Clark Gregg started following me on Twitter. Yes, my follower is Agent Coulson.
I should probably get back to work.

I was the king of Nerdistan for less than a week.
One of the Queen's private groups on Facebook just accepted Robert Redford as a member. It's a group devoted to court reporters and their fur babies.

But did they report my match saving la belle victory against Stanford’s epee champ Nick Blevins as a freshman? Our victory over Stanford all came down to one touch. My touch. Greatest fencing moment of my life. I drank so much vodka that night. The team was singing my praises. Nick got me back in the rematch.
It all went downhill after that.
And my teammates were antony Crawford and Chris Clark. Stro prolly told the reporter that just to mess with us epeeists.
